BC Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) for Employers
The BC Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) offers employers a strategic means to attract and retain the skills and experience they need.
What is the BC PNP Provincial Nominee Program?
The BC PNP is managed by the province and designed to increase economic benefits to the Province through the retention and nomination of skilled workers for Federal Immigration so that they can continue to bring benefits to the British Columbia labour market.
The BC PNP has many streams;
- Skilled Worker
- Post Graduate
- Health Care Occupations
- BC PNP Technology Occupations
- Entry and Semi Skilled Worker
- Entrepreneur Streams
- Regional Pilot Programs
The BC PNP may be suitable if you are;
- keeping a foreign worker who is already working
- hiring a new foreign worker from another country
- hiring an international student who has a Canadian degree or diploma
Provided you and your employee meet the requirements, you can make a joint application to the British Columbia’s Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP).
Employer Responsibilities
Employers must:

Nominated workers receive a work permit support letter
This means that a nominee can apply for a LMIA-exempt, employer-specific work permit. Allowing them to work legally in Canada while their application is processed.
