BC PNP | Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Program (ELSS)

Have you worked nine months in an entry-level or semi-skilled occupation?

The Entry Level and Semi-skilled (ELSS)  Worker Program

The Entry Level and Semi-Skilled Worker Program under the BC Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) was designed to help employers in BC’s tourism and hospitality, food processing and long-haul trucking industries attract and retain workers and fill critical labour shortages.

The program is open to all entry-level and semi-skilled occupations in North Eastern BC.

ELSS provides an often easier route for immigrants who cannot have their credentials recognized or cannot find a skilled job offer.

To qualify, you must be residing in BC and:

  • have worked a minimum of nine consecutive months in the tourism, hospitality, long-haul trucking or food processing industries or
  • have worked a minimum of nine consecutive months in an entry-level or semi-skilled occupation in North Eastern BC
